The NYISO is committed to regional reliability and as such, works closely with the New York Transmission Owners (NYTO's) and neighboring System Operators. The NYISO provides support to the NYTO's State Transmission Assessment and Reliability Studies (STARS), and is involved the Northeast Coordinated System Planning process (NCSP), the New York State Energy Planning Board process, and the Eastern Interconnection Planning Collaborative.
