Reliability Regulation
There are several electric system regulatory entities that provide guidance and oversight on the operation of New York’s grid. The NYISO maintains strict compliance with the rules set forth by the North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC), the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NPCC), and the New York State Reliability Council (NYSRC).
