S&P GLOBAL | 2 more states, dozens of groups join NY hydrogen hub partnership

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said Aug. 25 that Maine and Rhode Island have joined a New York-led multistate agreement in a bid to be selected as one of four U.S. regional hydrogen hubs. Designated through the federal Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs program that was included in the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act which President Joe Biden signed into law on Nov. 15, 2021, the expanded coalition of six states and more than 60 clean hydrogen ecosystem partners are preparign a proposal for U.S. Department of Energy funding anticipated to be announced in September or October, according to a statement from the governor's office.
