We manage the flow of electricity across the bulk electric system, or grid, in the state around the clock, every day of the year. We are an independent, nonpartisan entity under strict regulatory requirements to maintain reliability of the electric grid, which is critical to the health, safety, and welfare of all New Yorkers.
