VIDEO: People Who Power New York: “As a power system engineer, there’s really no better place than New York ISO.”

October 31, 2018

When she was younger, electrical engineer Yachi Lin faced two career choices – travel writing or working with numbers.

Yachi went with the more technical choice, and today she is NYISO’s senior manager for transmission planning. Here, she maintains the reliability of New York’s electric grid by planning for future grid needs. “We help to make sure the lights in New York will stay on,” she said, “for today, tomorrow and the future.”

Meet Yachi, one of the People Who Power New York.
