The head of the state’s independent grid operator said he hopes Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s administration will take note of the potential of exporting carbon pricing beyond New York in considering whether to back the proposal. “You can’t really leave any tools in the toolbox if we’re really going to aggressively target these goals,” said New York Independent System Operator President and CEO Rich Dewey on a call with reporters.
