Reaching a 100% emission-free grid by 2040 is an ambitious goal; the challenge of our lifetime.
And it’s one we’re working on every day: keeping our system reliable as we transition to an energy grid based on renewable resources. To address this, we’ll need significant investment in transmission infrastructure to carry power across the state, as well as smaller distributed energy installations and emerging technologies like carbon capture, and green hydrogen.
